Model 815 /815L /815R
Announcement
ECC recently announced the availability of a new Low Range version of the kVp meter, model 815L. Please visit the 815L Press Release (Adobe PDF) PDF) to learn more.
The Model 815 Measures the peak x-ray accelerating voltage from tungsten x-ray generators. To measure peak kV the user simply places the instrument in the beam and takes an x-ray. In addition to measuring kVp, the Model 815 also measures the exposure time and displays the x-ray waveform type. The Model 815/815L kVp Meters are optimized for dental, radiographic and fluoroscopic x-rays.
There is a high resolution mode which is used for measurements on older x-rays and x-rays with slow rise times.
The kVp Meter has a large display which is readable from outside the x-ray room.

Low Range Model 815L
The low range version of the kVp meter boasts the flexibility to provide precision at low kVp and low mA operation. The low range option is perfect for digital x-rays as well as dental and fluoroscopy machines, which typically operate at lower kV and mA settings. The low range 815L goes down to 40 kV and has increased current sensitivity to operate dependably down to 5mA at 50 kV. The new low range model is optimized at lower currents and operates up to 115 kV at 100 mA. Contact ECC for more information and pricing.
Remote Option
The remote readout device is the Model 815RD, and should be ordered with a Model 815R. The Remote option allows the user to read the results of an x-ray measurement outside the x-ray room. When a kVp reading is taken, the 815R transmits the data to the remote display (Model 815RD) via a radio link. Note that the white wire in the photo is an antenna. ECC can retrofit Model 815 kVp Meters for use with the 815RD. Contact ECC for information and pricing.
